GLP FILMS AND LIFESTRAW PARTNER FOR INSPIRATIONAL FILM SERIES, WITH FIRST FILM IN MAINE

Character-driven short-film series conveys brand’s “give-back” mission and a focus on adventure in rural Maine

 

GLP Films, an award-winning production and marketing company, and LifeStraw, a cause-driven company that provides water purification solutions, have partnered on a new short-film series with its first film set in Maine, USA. “A Life Inspired” is a character-driven film series focused on LifeStraw’s foremost set of values, off-trail adventure paired with giving back. GLP Films, specializing in travel industry storytelling, picked Maine for the first film because of the state’s stunning beauty, natural landscapes and bounty of sustainability stories. 

Along with providing purification systems for the outdoor and travel industry, Lifestraw creates safe drinking water solutions for lesser developed countries and catastrophic events. Lifestraw exemplifies its own mantra - that every individual or organization can lead a life inspired by passion, environmental conviction and connection to the global community. “A Life Inspired” shares the spirit of Lifestraw and is an invitation to the greater community to share their stories of inspiration.

Set in rural Maine, the first film in the 4-part series, “Give and Take”, follows the adventurer and philanthropist Bill Yeo, who exemplifies the spirit of exploration, mindful living, and giving back to the community. Maine is an idyllic backdrop to highlight the “Give and Take” spirit. The state offers a long list of individuals that strive to have a small footprint on the environment and a large impact on the community. This coupled with stunning scenery and natural landscapes, made Maine the top choice for a filming location.

LifeStraw enlisted GLP Films to produce a series of short-films rooted in powerful storytelling. Instead of a traditional commercial advertisement touting LifeStraw’s water purification products, LifeStraw wanted authentic content that would deeply connect with consumers while also communicating LifeStraw’s brand mission and core values.
